1st time Oakland has been in the playoffs in 14 years

The first game of the playoffs, with Texas and Oakland today. Win you keep going, lose and your on vacation.

Connor Cook directing traffic for Oakland, Brock Osweiler directing the Texas offense

Oakland won the toss and deferred.

Texas with the 1st punt of the night.

Texas with a field goal attempt for 50 yards and its good, just under 8 minutes. in the first quarter. Texas 3 and Oakland 0

1st flag of the night – Unnecessary roughness on the offense. Interception.

6:16 – 1st touchdown of the night for Texas/extra point and its a 10 to 0 Texas lead.

1:01 – Oakland finally on the board/extra point its a 3 point Texas lead. 10 to 7. It was a good series thanks to a solid kick off return.

**2nd quarter**

Texas has to settle for a field goal to take a 13 to 7 lead.

1:20 left int he half and Texas sneak another touchdown in/extra point extending the lead to 20 to 7.

**Halftime score sees – Texas 20 and Oakland 7

**3rd Quarter**

I don’t understand why Connor Cook is still out there. Oakland can do this but not with Conor directing.

(I wish I had more to tell you but when the teams are trading 3 and out, there is not much excitement)

What a crap call – offensive pass interference against Oakland.

There is a flag on the punt, roughing the kicker. (4th and 21)

Texas quarterback sneak into the end zone/extra point and the lead is extended to 27 to 7 over Oakland.

Finally at 8:10 and Oakland get to the end zone for a much-needed touchdown/ extra point – with still a glimmer of hope its 27 to 14 Texas lead.

4:32 left with Cook having a great throw but picked off by the Texas Defense.

**Final Score

Texas – 27 and Oakland – 14

Congrats to Oakland on a fantastic season. They will be back in the mix next year I am sure of it.

Texas moves on to face Kansas City or New England next week
